High Park by Tina Nair

This afternoon I headed over to High Park to take a few more photos.  The clouds were supposed to clear by mid-afternoon, but they didn't - it remained pretty grey.  I missed the effect of sunlight and shadows, but I think I still managed to take a few decent shots anyway...  Will definitely head back the next time we have a sunny Saturday/Sunday morning!

Edwards Gardens by Tina Nair

A friend recently recommended Edwards Gardens as a good place to take photos of flowers, scenery, etc.  We're planning to go there together sometime in September, but meanwhile I decided to make a little visit on my own.  Very proud of myself, as I left home at 6:45 this morning to get to the park (only twenty minutes away)!  Just a few people were there, the sun was shining but not too hot at that hour - an all-around beautiful morning!

Made use of the new macro lens I bought for my Sony A6000.  There's still so much I have to learn about that camera, but I'm enjoying myself so far!

Sony a6000 by Tina Nair

I recently purchased a Sony a6000 mirrorless camera, which came with a 16-50 mm lens. I soon realized that the lens I really wanted was a macro, which I also purchased from Sony (the 30mm F/3.5 Macro E-mount Lens). I'm enjoying using the Flexible Spot Focus feature on the a6000, but I still have a LOT to learn!

Prior to this, I'd been taking all my photos with my smart phone (Sony Xperia-T) and sharing them with indulgent friends on facebook. The new camera (Sony a6000) and this website are a fun, creative project for me.
